Before attending Salsa with Juan classes, I had gone to other places with an attitude like "you have to be good enough to take this class."  But at Juan's I instantly felt welcomed by the instructors and staff.  Other students are nice and non-judgmental (soon I realized Juan, the main instructor, attracts other nice people like him).  It did not take too long before I signed up for another class and attend their social events.  

I am hooked!

You both are fun, patient, and warm. Your classes are run with enthusiasm and you make Salsa dancing less intimidating for the beginner. Should you decide to do this for the group I know they would love it......... See you both on Thursday! Take care, Elizabeth

I'm feeling really good about what you guys taught us this month... so so helpful. I was having trouble grasping what you were trying to teach us the first couple weeks but felt like I was getting it towards the end. It was cool to watch that video you shot because I could see myself doing the counterbalance stuff. Generally speaking I really like the direction the classes are moving in and I hope that this will give you a better following on Monday nights in the near future. I've been telling people I know about it because I just feel like there is a lot of value there. Sincerely, Sam

I'm getting responses about Friday's dinner, but it's definitely because of you two and what you've built. I'm not sure if anyone's ever told you what affect you two are making on people. So I figured: "hell, I'll do it." Not only do you bring in new dancers with various challenges: nervousness, unsure, uncertain, anxious, uncoordinated, rhythmically challenged, etc., and turn them into confident, improved (some more quickly than others) dancers; but you've generated, developed and shaped a herd of people who truly enjoying being with each other. Our Salsa group shares a very special closeness and it's directly because of you two, how you laugh, play and interact with yourselves as well as your students. To be able to do that takes more than the fantastic teaching skills you both no doubt possess; it takes personality, character and genuine care for your fellow human being. And, you two have it very well and do it damn good. I'm honored to call myself YOUR student. And, I will try not to ever embarrass you on the dance floor. :>) I just love you guys!!!!!!!!! Cup

Merry Christmas to you Juan!! I've been exploring other Salsa classes and teachers this month, and seeing other students of yours doing the same, and the same remarks about your classes come up again and again... that your class is warm and friendly. It really makes a difference! It's fun in your classes. No where else do I laugh as much or get as many hugs! Holly
